I had lunch with the cheong aunties today and one of my very many smarties cousins was there too. (as you can see, it runs in the genes. *flicks hair*) He is if im not wrong, a blood specialist or something in NUH. He just received some Singapore Translational Research Award and was the youngest of all the recipients. He also gives talks to high flyers in the industry and is earning a rather niceeeee amount of money a month. THAT is the crucial thing. After all the “woowees” and “ohmahlooonieees”, upon seeing my littlest brother (who isn’t that little really.) who is studying for his A levels in the living room, I started my mommy preach. Me: hello. Eh. Wee Ju kor kor is super amazing okay… you know he… (blahblahblah) SO AH, do you want to be a doctor? Cause I think you should. Can earn a lot one you know. See the aunties? Lao ah-yi has a son who is a doctor, has his own clinic in Hong Kong some more. Very accomplished leh. And then look at Wee Ju kor kor. Come out in newspaper all. Plus most importantly, earn a lot of money!

Then I (finally) met Emily and Pam for dinner. It has been SO LONG. Pam lost a whole lot of weight and I am amazed at her APPETITE! Her diet is probably equivalent to one third a sunflower seed a day hamster terms. She, being a body shop addict, scared me enough for me to get a body shop seaweed edition facial wash :s YES I don’t own a facial wash. I wash my face with the shower gel when I shower :s

Pam: you should get a proper regime for your face you know. See your eyes, got some fine lines already. Must take special care of your eyes one you know. It’s the first place that will show your age. I mean you no need to do too many things to your face. Since you are lucky enough to be born with rather good skin. But its about time you start to care for it already. Like must take care of your freckles and all. Will multiply one. (calls for a body shop helper) uhm… can you please advise my friend on a simple regime for her face?
