recently i have been hearing stories about people getting into trouble cause of what they post on their blogs. i never could, still dont, will never, and dont ever intend to, understand WHY. why get punished for airing own opinions on own spaces? strange how complaining about the service of a particular shop, restaurant or quality of a product would get them rendering better services or producing better products but doing so about a school you're studying in, or like a company you're working in would get your panties up on fire. look, like it or not, all you companies and schools out there, good, bad, famous, infamous, big, small or medium sized for that matter, you dont rock everyone's socks. so LEARN to be open to opinions. why should there be a difference between dealing with employees/students and consumers/the public? even if there are vulgarities here and there, mention of names, take it in your stride. you're not perfect. noone is. unless you are.......david tao..justin timberlake..catherine moennig..keira knightley..johnny depp..tanya chua..chen hao..i shall not go on..in MY eyes. punishing people for verbalizing their thoughts (shiety or not) in their own spaces is totally UNCOOL. and, if the public hears about it, (and they will cause word of mouth is an amazing tool.) you'd get slapped right back in the face. i mean you do know, theres something called karma. so perhaps instead of being all mean and narrowminded, open your heart, ears, nose, eyes, mouth, wallet, bag, door, and whatever other things you can open, to criticisms and just improve. that is definitely the better way out.

i met jane for dinner on friday and we wanted to head somewhere which'd have food without carbo. heres part of the deciding process for the location.

of course in the end we didnt go to harvey norman for dinner. instead, we went to this new japanese restaurant called shokudo. shokudo is actually that marche style japo place. but the one we went to was the japanese pasta and pizza place! its located at city link. next to asian kitchen. there is also one which just opened at orchard cineleisure.

the food there is to die for.

sometimes jane can look really like the tweety bird gramms. you guys think?

then again who am i to speak when i look like strawberry shortcake :(

so heres what we ordered. cream of mushroom,

which looked like cappuccino. jane thought it tasted weird. but i thought it was pretty good. she concluded that cause it looks like cappuccino, your brain kinda thinks that what your tongue's gonna taste'd be cappuccino, yet it doesnt come out tasting like cappuccino, hence the weirdness. in my opinion, jane just has a weird brain.

the cabbage and bacon creamy miso soup, which is simply aweeeeesome. i LOVED IT TO THE MAXIMUM. highlight of the dinner :)

asparagus and fish roe pizza, also really yummy. but i thought the portion should have been bigger for the price.

and last but not least.. some.. chicken with seaweed thingie. which tasted ooooh so delicious too.

so much for no carbo.

thanks to the lack of shopping cause of work, i have recently been displaying very bad shopping conduct. someone should kill me for having such distasteful choice of apparals. im sure jo'd do the honour without having me say so. but i should be forgiven. for i am experiencing the just-start-work-hence-no-time-to-shop-hence-
impulsively-buying-things-during-lunch-hour-syndrome. jane said id eventually grow out of it. i hope it happens soon. the hole in my pocket's already enormous nuff :(

today is wan ping's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY :) her birthday falls on the same day as her husband, and her little girl's birthday's 3 days before. how cool's that?! now who EVER said people of the same horoscope cant get along?!

for those of you who do not know her yet, here she is!

she is my oh so nice colleague :) who also happens to be the owner of THIS tummy, and.................

the little cutsie inside! LOOK at that belly! she is like oh SO SO pregnant. will you believe that tiny woman you just saw above, is the one who owns this oh so PREGNANT TUMMY?! that there is only but ONE BABY in there?! that shes due only at the end of may?! :| i certainly do not. im so sure that when she pops, she'd be in for a surprise. triplets. oh yay. triple the fun.

i was once hooked onto a blog, by this girl called camille. until she stopped blogging in July 2006. i decided to check on her blog again today to try my luck but to no avail. so i decided to add a comment on her blog. low and behold she commented back on one of my other blogs. heh. and i found out that she has yet another blog! she doesnt write in this new one as much as she used to in the other, but its good nuff for me to know that shes blogging again :) i am happy. hope all's well with you camille! *smiles*

i was being a facebook whore over the weekend when i found THESE horrrror filled pictures!O.O

what an ideal location. to place me right behind a teacher who has the same face shape and hair as me. if not for the outfit, i swear i would have had difficulties finding my oh so cute self. THANK YOU MY DEAR FRIENDS for still being MY FRIENDS despite my shameful past.

then again look at jo. i think she should be thanking me too. HAHAHA. JO AND HER SCORPION FRINGE. her reason? rebonding hadnt been invented at that point in time. yes yes, blame it on technology.

seems like the drastic change is also apparent in her spelling. but indeed the funny duckling has evolved into a pretty white swan. THIS, is to do her justice :)

this is us giving 张老师 a surprise birthday party in the canteen. arent we sweet. among the so many teachers that 4 hope(less) made cry, i believe this is the one time a teacher cried from happiness :) we werent that bad really. just a tad bit more mischievous than the special girls but we're really quite lovable. REALLY! *blink blink* at least we know we made an impact on our teachers' lives (whether its a good or bad one is not the point)........ RIGHT? and to set the records straight.. there were (quite a number of) teachers who loved us OKAY.

i cant help it but....of EVERYONE, i HAVE to mention one person.... MARIE BOEY LI HUEY! look at that little monkey (she called herself that upon seeing that class picture on FB so no im not mean!) at the top left hand corner of the first picture?! (she is the 2nd one from the left) and compare that with THIS PSSSSSSSTTT PIPING HOT MOMMA and her oh so good looking little offspring *smiles*

This week has been horrifying. i swear if not for some little lucky star somewhere in the sky, i would be dead by now. then again perhaps dying isnt even that bad a thing. grrrr.

to add to my "series of unfortunate events", sorethroat and fever decided to pay me a visit. without prior warning. seriously, what happened to both your manners? urgh. thank godness they're kinda leaving after some very severe chasing away. SHOO SHOO! physical shiets aside, you have got no idea just how many busses ive missed this week. and its the ooh about to cross the road! ooh gona be late! OOH I JUST YAN ZHENG ZHENG SAW THE DAMN BUS COME AND LEAVE kinda thing okay. let's not start harping on the smaller things in life. booohooo.

of which, i made a very sad discovery (either that or im just in denial). you see, the only full length mirrors which i come across when at work, are the lifts. and they make me look really OBESE. not that im like thin la. just that i will leave home satisfied with the way i look, but the darn lift mirrors will make me wonder "gobese ng, what in any frame of mind, made you decide you can even take one step out of the house looking oh so... OBESE?!" until i noticed that this was happening on a daily basis. so now im just gonna conclude that the fault lies with the lifts. i have since been trying to prevent myself from looking at the lift doors while waiting for the lift to arrive.

last night, lian hui suddenly called me. i use the term suddenly cause i havent heard from her since about.....457549 years ago.

me: AH LIAN!

LH: ehh. where are you now?

me: at home lor.

LH: ok dont freak out but.. guess who i just saw.

me: OMG WHO.

LH: i just saw........... tao zhe.

me: *SCREAMS AND JUMPS AROUND THE ROOM* for some strange reason the first thought that came to my mind was "oh shit my hair is so ugly now! how! quick blow dry properly!" :

me: ohmigoosh!!! what the hell!! where the hell are you now?!

LH: at The Cathay! if you want hurry come down now. The Cathay is not that huge. I'm sure we can find him again.

me: cannot la my hair is damn ugly now! :

LH: hes with a girl leh! OMG and they (friends) saw him holding her hand!

me: eee. girlfriend ah. how does she look!? pretty or not.

LH: shes damn skinny la.

me: her boops MUST be big. he likes boopie women.

LH: no leh. not big lor. but shes very tall and thin.

I went for steps class at the gym yesterday (yes despite a sprained left ankle and black eye.) and got myself a twisted right ankle to add on to my poor bodeh :(
